One prompt for the whole thumbnail

Asking an image model for hosts, idea and headline in one go. It failed, and the failures shaped a better method.

What I tried

One ChatGPT prompt for the whole podcast thumbnail: the real hosts, the idea and the headline, all in one image.

What happened

Four outputs, four failures. A metaphor with no readable shape, a meaning a camera can't capture, four objects fighting for attention, and repetition that turned into texture. All four also had AI-drawn text in the wrong font and faces lit differently from the scene.

What I do now

Split the job. ChatGPT makes one thing it is good at: a people-free, text-free background plate. The hosts, the headline and the final grade happen in Photoshop.
